Are all Maritime-based United Ways part of United Way Maritimes?
United Way Cape Breton and United Way Greater Moncton and Southeastern New Brunswick each made the decision not to proceed with formal unification. While both organizations had strong working relationships with the other United Ways, their Boards of Directors determined that unification was not the right path for their organizations — a decision we recognized, respected, and supported, as they recognized and respected ours.
Staff and Board representatives from both organizations were full participants in the discovery and planning work leading up to unification, and the final decision was left to each Board after all due diligence was complete. We look forward to continued collaboration with both organizations and actively pursue partnership opportunities with them today.
